Kat Rodwell belongs to the Ngunnawal people of the ACT. Kat is a highly experienced and respected Aboriginal Engagement Consultant and Cultural Advisor with over 20 years’ experience engaging Traditional Owner Groups and Indigenous communities. Kat is sounded out by government departments to be involved in government indigenous engagement boards and advise many large organisations on Aboriginal Engagement and Cultural Advisory issues. Kat has worked on behalf of major project construction, mining and educational government and public organisations, establishing cultural governance and co design processes to embed Indigenous narratives within architectural and landscape designs.

Kat develops Aboriginal cultural and design narratives in consultation with Traditional Owner Groups and communities to stimulate the co-design process with design teams and other project stakeholders. Her expertise and indigenous credibility allow her to facilitate co-design gatherings and workshops with Traditional Owners and Aboriginal community representatives to create Aboriginal Design concepts/cultural narratives for her clients.

Furthermore, Kat liaises with architects, urban designers, and other project key stakeholders to collate project specific inputs that guide and enhance the embedding of Aboriginal Design and Participation outcomes.
