Tania Dalton

Managing Director and founder of the business, Tania Dalton is a proud Wathaurong / Gunditjmara woman who is based in Geelong. Tania is a registered psychologist with a Masters of Health Science and Behavioural Science (Sydney University) and has been Chairperson of the Australian Indigenous Psychologist Association since 2013. Tania is also a Director of the National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Leadership in Mental Health (NATSIMHL) and member of the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Strategy Group.

As an Aboriginal consultant, Tania is a strong advocate for Aboriginal Community self-determination, and collaborates effectively to increase the cultural competence, responsiveness and safety of businesses and organisations. Tania is actively involved in the Aboriginal community and has extensive experience in policy review, stakeholder engagement and development of culturally informed models of operation. Tania has great skill in strategic planning to strengthen organisational Aboriginal cultural flexibility and sustainable performance. Tania uses her strong communication and research skills to ensure her understanding of stakeholder needs and priorities and these are integrated into the design and delivery of effective programs.

Tania’s work as a psychologist has focused on prevention, assessment and treatment utilising the Aboriginal Social and Emotional Wellbeing model. She also provides clinical and cultural supervision of clinicians in Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations and mainstream business and services. Tania’s work with the Australian Indigenous Psychologist Association has seen her develop, coordinate and facilitate training throughout Australia, across the health, disability, justice and education sectors and present papers at international conferences. Tania is a member of the Wathaurong Aboriginal Cooperative and she has also served as a Board member on the Gunditjmara Aboriginal Cooperative.
